Metering
digitalSTROM is an energy metering system. It renders the so far very rudimentary energy metering more precisely by two levels:
Level 1
In homes equipped with a digitalSTROM Meter dSM energy metering can be refined in sections. Each section is characterized through a fused power circuit. One dSM per power circuit measures the energy consumption within this power circuit. The calibrated value of the mains metering device in your house serves as reference value. Depending on your individual metering requirements, the power circuits can serve as classification criterion for metering in groups.
Level 2
In homes equipped with a dSM more precise measurements can be realized up to a specific device, provided the device in question is featured with a digitalSTROM chip dSID.
Via server dSS and internet access the digitalSTROM Meter dSM provides the data measured on level 1 and 2 to the customer and to service providers (electricians, facility manager etc.) and to energy suppliers upon request.
